I have been battling it for a year and half now. Well not just colon, but rectal colon. When they found it , it was in stage 4 . No warning sign or nothing. Been handling it well...but like everyone from time to time I just need a shoulder. The doctors don't give me till Chirstmas this year, but I hope to prove them all wrong. So tell me when is anyone in the room to chat or do you do that here? Looking forward to talking to all of you and getting to know you. Hello and welcome Sorry to hear that you are having to battle with colon cancer for so long already. Well we don't listen to prognosis here unless they are hopeful. We know each person is different and we just don't want to hear that they put a time limit on us. Docs do is based on statistics and they are never completely accurate. We have stage 4's here who are survivors as well as fighter. We are all fighters. I found quote the other day that is a bit Funky but I think it fits us colon cancer fighters really well. I will clean Up the bad words and everyone can use there imagination. This is a quote from one of Marcinko's books (I met him once, he is big teddy bear) Okay here is goes " okay we are in the valley of death once again, but we are the baddest M( & ^%$ F* & ^%$%'s in the valley.. " I think I paraphrased it a bit ... I may have to look it up again to get it exactly right but I think it still fits. We are BAD!!!!! LO: Please don't think I talk like this all the time. I really don't. LOL.. I am just a mild mannered granny.. Anyway I have to go get a port flush today, tomorrow I see my surgeon about getting my year after scope.. I get a blood test soon to see what my CEA is. And my primary doc is bound an determined that I am pre-diabetic. What next!! I wonder can anyone be PRE-pregnant???? Anyway that appt is for Nov 1.... I am still waiting for pap test appt. Way over year over due. Well time to get ready. Just hang in there kiddo.. We are lazy I think. For awhile we went to the chat room but is hard to schedule when everyone are at least more than two can be there. Truthfully if too many are in the chat room the dumb thing will freeze up or something. So is better if just a couple are there. And voice chat really messes if too many people try to use it. So if two people are there that is good, and everything should work fine.... Take care we are all in this together.... I don't know anything about the J-pouch and the C-Diff, but I saw something about the J-pouch at this site: http://www.ostomates.org/ostomies.html I hope it is not too basic for you. If it is, then I'm sure someone in this group had a J-pouch and a C-Diff and when they are able to, they can answer your question. I wish that this could be the diagnoses of all of you. I have taken steps to remove the rest of the carpet from my house and elimate everything that the birds could have left their dander behind. I have hired some one to give my house a deep cleaning and am trying to find someone to come and clean my vents but have no idea what they are called. I have looked in the yellow pages under everything I can think of. Any ideas as to what the business would be called? I am getting rid od all the bird stuff in the garage and I am gettin grind of the bird seed in the backyard. A friend suggested I buy a air purifier but have no idea if they work or not and don't know which ones are good and which ones aren't. Would love feed back on this. Any one have any other ideas as to what I can do to get rid of any lingering bird dander? There has to be some reason the fibrosis is still happening. I must not have gotten rid of all the bird dander and stuff. I will have my walls painted too. I don't know what else to do! If not, call a furnace person and ask them who is good. I would suggest you get an air cleaner attached to your furnace as that cleans out even the smallest pollens and. Good luck getting all that bird dander out. I think there should be warnings against household birds as they are 'known' to cause this.
