Guest guest
OH that is cute Narice. Thanks Jolene Trick or Treat You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when: 10. You get winded from knocking on the door. 09. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you. 08. You ask for high fiber candy only. 07. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your balance and fall over. 06. People say: " Great Boris Karloff Mask, " and you're not wearing a mask. 05. When the door opens you yell, " Trick or .... " and can't remember the rest. 04. By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders. 03. You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece. 02. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker. And the number one reason Seniors should not go Trick Or Treating... * 01. You keep having to go home to pee. No matter, have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN anyway. Guest guest
Marty, It is good that you eat. No matter if it is candy. You are eating!!!!!! I know with me the stronger the taste of something was the more of it I would eat. The chemo ruined my taste buds and only strong tasting things appealed to me. So if it is candy then so be it!!!! Hope you are feeling better. Guest guest
So... Looking ahead... When does the REAL taste start coming back? How much time after the end of the chemo? How long til the " just got run over by a truck " feeling starts to go away? Looking for some " light " at the end of the tunnel, not just an end to the tunnel... arty On 10/28/2005 6:48:22 PM, colon_cancer_support wrote: > Marty, It is good that you eat. Guest guest
It took about three weeks after chemo was done when I started noticing that things were beginning to taste better. You start feeling a little bit more energetic each day at about two to three weeks after the chemo. You have a lot to look forward too!!!! Good tasting food!!!!!!!!! It gets better!!!! Guest guest
That could all be, we just don't even know what it is like to feel good anymore, or we are afraid to admit that we feel good, cause the feeling might go away? Jolene Re: Re: Trick or Treat >>>I am trying to think when I started feeling almost normal again after chemo. Maybe 2 months or so... I just kinda realized that I felt normal. About all the effects I have now is the numbness in my fingertips and the bottom of my feet, other than that I feel pretty good. I have days that I really feel quite awful and it is not until the next day when I feel good that I realize that I must have been sick the day before!!LOLOL Anyone else have this happen?? Are we just so used to feeling like crap that we don't notice until we feel better????? nancy j ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
My problem is I think I am feeling at 100 percent. Then I try to do something and get really down because I am not like I was before the surgery. I try to do too much and when I get to feeling down I get my reminder that I am still healing. Just think it will get better in time. Ingrid > > >>>I am trying to think when I started feeling almost normal again after chemo. > Maybe 2 months or so... I just kinda realized that I felt normal.
