Sherri: This is actually something I have looked for, for my work in Central America. Have you seen Where there is no Dentist by the Hesperian Foundation? It is very good. Attached is a very basic outline I made up, using references to that book. I have forwarded your email to Magda de la Torre at UTSan because she has developed a curriculum like what you are looking for, but I have never seen it...

Let me know if you find something!

Good luck,

Candace

Subject: [ ] oral health curriculum for Promotora training

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know the name of and where I can get an oral health curriculum for training Promotores/as. I'm pretty sure there's one out there already-no need to reinvent the wheel. I've done some Promotora training in oral health but haven't actually developed an entire curriculum. I have a friend in Texas who needs one and is happy to pay for it, so I'd appreciate any help.

Gracias!!

Thanks Candace,

Yes I have the book and used it when I did the training at our health center. I've met Magda and will try to contact her. Thanks again,

Sherri
