Guest guest
i think you need to discuss this with your pulmonary doctor and keep increasing the o2 lpm's as necessary Pink Joyce (IPF 3/06) IFA 5/09 Pennsylvania Donate Life Listed 1/09 Inactive 4/09 www.transplantfund.org--- Subject: Help me with my Breathing IssuesTo: Breathe-Support Date: Thursday, July 2, 2009, 4:08 AM Hi Bruce, Sher, Beth, KHi folks : I am struggling with breathing issues. My O2 levels drop when I do anything to between 83 and 85 and I am on 3 liters. this has just started happening lately. When I go for Pulmonary rehab I am noticing that I need to take my O2 level up to 5 liters when I used to be able to do exercise at 4 liters. For those who are not familiar with me I have IPF dx in 2005 and off the Transplant list in Toronto since Dec 2008 due to Kidney and Heart Issues and making the best of it as I chug along. Since I have been off the transplant my GP is sending me to a new Resprologist with whom I do not feel the comfort zone that I had with the folks in Toronto. What advise do you wise folks have.Regards Pravin
Guest guest
Pravin First, keep your saturation above 90. If you need 4 lpm or 5 lpm use it. It sounds much like normal progression unless you're experiencing other effects you're not describing. However, that brings us to the second point. Get to a respiratory doctor who has expertise with Interstitial Lung Diseases and who you have confidence in. I'm not sure how to arrange that in Canada, but hopefully you can. > > Hi Bruce, Sher, Beth, K > Hi folks : I am struggling with breathing issues.
