Guest guest
Hello, All. In researching ways to help my Hg-poisoned husband, who has psychological symptoms including ADD-like problems and impulsivity, I came across this. You may be interested to know how I came across it: I was researching carbamazepine since AI mentions it can help with impulsivity, and when I googled " carbamazepine impulsivity, " a lot of psychiatric articles came up, which discussed this " Barratt Imulsivity Scale. " It's a really simple, self-administered, 30 question test. I printed out a copy for my husband and I to take. Browse the site impulsivity.org. The guy who created it is Barratt. Points go this way: Rarely/Never=1. Occasionally=2. Often=3. Almost Always/Always=4. Here is the link: http://impulsivity.org/BIS-11/bis-translations/ For those on this webgroup at the beginning of your chelation journey, like we are, perhaps it would be interesting to get a baseline score for the Hg-poisoned person when you're just beginning the chelation, and then take the test again periodically after going through quite a few rounds, to see how long it takes before your score improves on this Impulsivity Test. I like this idea a lot, because it could potential help us gauge the effectiveness of Andy's protocol on a person struggling with Impulsivity. It would also be VERY interesting if people could take a baseline score in the beginning, and then see HOW MUCH TIME/HOW MANY ROUNDS of ALA before the score on this test begins improving!! Anybody interested? Abrenica
