Guest guest
Well, sometimes. Last year, my new year's resolution was to become more assertive. After people stopped being flabbergasted, it was easier. Being empathetic doesn't have to mean being a doormat, yes? Guest guest
It shouldn't, but it's something I have to work on as well. Hehe, matter of fact, I just got " The Idiot's Guide to Assertiveness " . ellen Re: What is your empathy quotient? Well, sometimes. Last year, my new year's resolution was to become more assertive. Guest guest
That was really interesting! I scored a 37 on the EQ and 44 for the SQ, which when you plot it out on the graph makes me male brained, but not to the extreme, although the SQ of 44 was in the more category. laughed and said he could have told me that I had a more male brain. He's going to take the test too. Thanks. That was fun!

Guest guest
I bet your husband doesnt' call you a boy with bumps. LOL! To this day I fail to see the advantages of beeing seen as " one of the guys " . I really hate it when I am expected to join in on guy conversations...like when they are discussing Playboy or something just as nauseous. I will still never forget the day that called me excited and had to share with someone that there were blonde triplets in Playboy. That man really needs to find a girlfriend. LOL! Guest guest
OK, the way I see it is we need all types. Those of us under 25 or so can be factual and blunt and practical and those of us near the other end of the list can offer warm shoulders and acceptance. It's a great list that makes room for all of us. Thanks Jacquie. Tuna ... who thinks Jacquie would be perfectly pleasant to be around. >>>>>>>>>>>>> TWELVE. OMG. Guest guest
I'm like that too, Sue. My latest effort has been to save the Family Resouce Center at 's school from budget cuts. I did a presentation, I bugged TN legislators, I emailed the superintendent of schools...I don't know if I made a difference, but the Family Resource Center WILL return next year. Yeah!
