Guest guest
A few of us discussed this last month, because we have had problems like this. For me the chest tightness turned out to be low cortisol. It's not a common symptoms by any means, but for me I spend months going back and forth with the doctor, and them finding no reason for the tightness. I did find some reading somewhere that pointed to asthma or shortness of breath or tightness of chest being related to adrenals. I can't remember where at the moment, but it was in the endless hours of reading I did trying to find out why only at night I had this tight short of breath feeling. I found the connection by going on hydrocortisone, and when I forgot to take it the tightness came back. So for some people adrenal fatigue seems to cause asthma like problems or tightness in the chest. As I understood it, cortisol is needed to regulate bronchial movements, and not enough cortisol would result in constricted bronchials. I tested this out by waiting for my usual evening tightness to occur, which coincidentally I was only taking adrenal cortex during the day. When it happened I began apply hydrocortisone cream to my forearm. It relieved it. I did this a few nights in a row..and it always worked. So I realized I needed more adrenal support than what I was on. I added Isocort to my ace. That has gotten rid of it, unless of course I forget a dose. If this is getting worse with increasing ala, don't increase it. There is also some speculation that people who have had a lot of their mercury exposure via amalgams, will have more mercury stores in their lungs, from breathing the vapors. And some of those people, including me have noted the tightness feeling during chelation. The exact science we don't know, just that a few of us have experienced it. I would also ask what kind of tea? Any tea with licorice or caffeine is going to be a problem. You will want to stick to caffeine free herbal varieties. Any tea with licorice I found to cause over stimulating if I drink it to late in the day. > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > In relation to my rounds (12.5 or 25 mg ALA), I have a symptom > that I > > > like to describe as " chest tightness " . > > > > It gets worse with increasing > > > chelation dosage of ALA. > > > > > Someone on this forum suggested the link > > > between chest tightness and adrenal fatigue. > > > > > A question: assuming that my chest tightness symptom is related to > > > adrenal issues, would drinking tea worsen it? > > > > > > > > > I don't think that drinking tea will worsen it no matter what the > > cause is. jmo > > > > People with adrenal fatigue are usually advised to avoid coffee, the > > quantity of caffeine in tea is much lower.
