Hi ,

My oldest sister is getting more symptoms of peripheral neuropathy, and guess

what, I just looked at her hair test, and her thyroid ratio (Na/K=23) is out of

range too! I emailed her this article also, and have been talking to her lately

about getting hormone testing done, so maybe this will prompt her!

She has removed most, maybe all, of her amalgams, but still has two gold crowns

left in her mouth, so she hasn't tried chelation yet. So if she shows up with

the antibodies, maybe I can finally convince her to finish her dental work and

try chelation. I might actually get her to do it then, because I had the

antibodies before amalgam removal, and now they have gone down to the ok range

since then.

So let me know what happens with your SIL.

Thanks,

Jackie

Hi Jackie,

My sister-in-law is not feeling well---tired, depressed, weight gain---and she

has

tingling/numbness in her fingertips.

She is being tested for thyroid as we speak.

Interesting article!

Jackie,

Are you saying you had thyroid antibodies and then after chelation the

antibodies are not detected?

---------I have only been tested twice. The first time was before amalgam

removal, and I was doing very little supplementing then, and my thyroid

peroxidase antibodies were 89.

Then, I just had them retested last fall, so 2-1/2 years later, and now they

are in range, at 26. So they aren't gone, but down and within range. So I see

that as an improvement, and so did .

Now I can't say exactly what caused the decrease, because I did alot of things

during that time. I had my amalgams removed, I've done chelation and I'm

nowhere near done, I take lots of supplements, I eat better than I used to, and

I have been treating my adrenals. I tried Armour thyroid for a brief period

before I got adrenal support, but haven't tried it since, so this is not from

thyroid hormone. So I can't guarantee you that chelation will lower your

antibodies, just telling you what happened to me.---------Jackie

I have very high thyroid antibodies. I would

like to have another child but am afraid to bc of the antibodies. Is it

possible to get rid of them with chelation? My mother and sister also have

the antibodies. Maybe for me it is genetic and not caused from metals??

Would love anyones input.

-------------I'm sorry Sara, I really don't know the answers for you. I would

suggest you do alot more reading about the subject. You could use

www.onibasu.com and search the archives of this group, adult-metal-chelation,

and Autism-Mercury, and especially look for posts by Andy on this topic. And

there are lots of websites and other Yahoo groups dedicated to hormones and

thyroid.--------Jackie
