Guest guest
Ruthie Do you have a portrait of your whole family together, my mum died last year and 18 mnths before she organised us all to go home and have a family portrait done ( I have 2 sisters & a brother all married + children) Its lovely to look at that now and see her proud and in the midst of her creation. Well worth the hassle to organise it. Liz Nicholls SAHM 4, 2, new babe Nov Sheff Chair, PNSGL, Editor

A very young Yeshaya is at the back row, centre, between to blonde unmarried Tavya on the right, and redheaded Zehava on the left. the older lady standing behind me and DH is my MIL. http://www.ruthiepearlman.com/pictures/ruthfam.jpg is a pic taken at the same time but just of our own children, ie no in laws or grandchildren. But as I say, it's 3 yrs old, maybe it is time to get another! Ruthie
Guest guest
Actually there were some photos taken on my first grandson's Barmitzvah, but I don't think a whole family portrait. I must get copies...I haven't even seen them yet. Ruthie
Guest guest
<<<Do you have a portrait of your whole family together>>>> Liz it is one of the things that we are talking about organizing for my mil and fil as their present for their gold anniversary (April) they are saying we don't want any presents but I know that they would adore a picture of their 3 surviving children and a picture of their by then 7 grand children together.. so we are going to try to get it done.. (difficult though as my bil lives in Norfolk we are in surrey and my sil in Kent and we need to make sure that mil and fil doesn't get wind of the idea (oh and oldest nephew is in the army.....) Lonnie Phoebe & Eloisa's mama & expecting a Christmas delivery... My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what you start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of chips and a Chocolate cake. I feel better already.
Guest guest
Lovely picture, Ruthie! I think Tammy is particularly pretty! Are all their wigs European hair? (out of interest as a doll restorer once wanted to buy mine...) Tavya's was part of her trousseau, Sara and Tammy bought their own as " customs " weren't so available when they got married as later, and I did help out Avigayil to buy hers as she isn't as well off as her sisters. I understand from the wigmakers that most of the European hair they buy comes from Eastern Europe, eg Russia. Russian girls have wonderful blonde hair apparently. The thing is with customs, the hair is *naturally* the right colour, not dyed, and if it's a curly wig, it is *naturally* curly hair. That's what makes them so expensive. I do know of one girl (Avigayil's SIL as it happens) who grew her own hair past her waist and had it cut off and made into a wig when she got married. Not TOO sure how " kosher " that is, but there you go! Ruthie
