Guest guest
You also can try tapioca pudding. You can make it (recipe on the box) or buy it from Whole Foods market. Everything I have read says the same thing Donelle, and the kinesiologist gave me articles written by MD's acknowledging this too. Like everyone else, I probably started out great cutting out the sugars but as the nerves and anxiety kicked in, so did the sugar cravings. Have you tried Miso soup for Glenn and how about Phil? It is suppose to be good for us. It is a broth, sometimes with little onions and seaweed in it. You can find it at some grocery stores. Check the oriental section. I just tried it last night, not bad. How about rice pudding? I thought about that for Karima too.....you get your rice and some sweetness! hugs and prayers ~~ donna Grandmommyandme@... wrote: I love sweets and so does Glenn....here are just a couple articles... do a Google search for sugar and cancer.... there are 76 PAGES of articles, etc. related to this. I know none of these doctors who wrote these articles...don't know if any are " substantiated " or not...and certainly have not read all of them. Glenn's Onc. did tell him that " oxygen starves the cells and sugar feeds the cells " . Like , tho Glenn is Diabetic...at this point he eats anything he can manage to eat to not starve to death...he hasn't even checked his blood sugar in the last 6 wks., which I'm not condoning, but he is basically starving to death right now with having had severe diarrhea for the past 6 wks. constantly, every day and night. Think I'll make him check it right now...while I'm thinking about it. Just curious more than anything. I don't see how it could be high as nothing stays in him long enough to be of any nutrional value. _http://www.mercola.com/2000/oct/8/sugar_cancer.htm_ (http://www.mercola.com/2000/oct/8/sugar_cancer.htm) _http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/sugar.htm_ (http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/sugar.htm) _http://www.newstarget.com/001475.html_ (http://www.newstarget.com/001475.html) Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn

I think he knows that. Most everything you eat turns to sugar anyway. That's how you get the energy from it. You asked where I live. I am on the beach at McKinleyville, Ca. The houses across the street from me are backed up to the bluff that goes down to the beach. I have a very nice riding or walking trail that runs several miles north and south and the part closest to the beach is right in front of me. I don't walk it as much as I use to because of the pain in my feet and the neuropathies. Come on up any time. Len Hi Len: McKinleyville must be up near Eureka, in Humboldt County, right? I haven't been there to my knowledge but my old friend from H.S. is an anesthesiologist in that area and she just came by to visit. She loves it there. Her son is now a famous pianist so she had to drive him down here to a music school next to the new Disney music center in L.A. How beautiful that must be. Are you also near Mendocino? I have a friend (former colleague) who built his dream house there on a bluff. So pretty. The beach is so healing. I feel a need to further explore our beaches down here more. I rode my bike on the Venice Beach path and I want to drive to Leo Carillo State Beach (north of Mailibu) and go tidepooling. That neuropathy should get better with time and you should be out enjoying the beauty of the trail. Do you have dogs? ---------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi Pat, No I don't have a dog any more and my bird doesn't like to go for walks. We never had kids either because we raced stock cars and didn't have time for that. I love my path and I have taken many many walks to the north end. We are a couple hours north of Mendicino. Just north of us is Trinidad. I can't go out today because of my recent infusion but will try again next week. Guest guest
Ingrid, Of course you are always welcome to stay and walk my trail here on the left coast. We have plenty of horse riders here too but I don't have energy for that any more.
