Guest guest
I don't know how old you are but if you are a senior you can contact the Agency on Aging. I lost my help because I got more income but now that I am on oxygen they put me back on the list. I know what you mean about your house. It seems like something is going wrong all of the time and no one wants to buy it. My real estate agent says that no on has th money.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes,Sjogren's,Fibromyalgia IdahoSubject: Household helpersTo: Breathe-Support Date: Saturday, August 29, 2009, 1:45 PM Hi Group, I was wondering for those of you who either live alone or don't have a support system to help you with the maintenance of your home, what do you do? I live in a very old house that I want to sell, but everytime I turn around something seems to be going wrong. A big issue for me is cleaning and just needing help in disposing of items. Please let me know what you do because I need to figure out a way to clean out this house. Thanks, AB
Guest guest
I give clothes to family and friends if possible, and the rest to Goodwill.I would like to do a yard sale, but get as far as boxing up the stuff and there it sits. The Menagerie is a charity shop where items are donated and the proceeds go to the animal shelter. My brother put twenty items out by the road for free. He said it was all gone in an hour. Isn't that great. I would love to do that.We also need to clean out this place. I think it would make it a lot easier to take care of.Good luck!PJ in Ohio, 54, IPF '09, Sjogren's '95 Household helpers Hi Group, I was wondering for those of you who either live alone or don't have a support system to help you with the maintenance of your home, what do you do? Guest guest
Hi Beverley, I'm 59 years old and not sure I qualify for services from my local aging agency (PCA), but what I really need is a magic wand to wave over my house to paint it and get rid of all the crap (LOL) Oh well, I guess I just need to get busy and stop using my illness as an excuse to not do things. I have a realtor coming to look at my house to help me decide if I should sell as is or maybe do some cosmetic things to help improve its look. Thanks for you suggestions and support.
