Do any of you in NCT-Coffee cyberspace live in or near Wensleydale?

We are going there for half-term, staying in Askrigg and I was

wondering what the situation is regarding foot and mouth and walking

in the countryside. Are public footpaths now open?

It's dead near to where I am aiming for in next few weeks (well, near

Kirkby ) - last I heard a month ago they still had restrictions

but I will check with The Book House, Ravenstonedale (whole house full

of second hand books - you might want to give it a visit!) There are

a couple of pubs in the village too that do lunch..(though can't vouch

for quality as we always seem to eat picnics up there or in aunt's

farm)
