I don't know enough about it to be very helpful. From what I read, it

is a genetic problem where cystine doesn't get absorbed very well and

is concentrated in the urine.

(Note that cystine is different from cysteine. Cysteine is the one

that has readily available thiols that are problematic)

No.

The fact that you are not absorbing cystine is important information.

I could only guess about what to do (with diet and supplements to try

to increase absorption of amino acids).

Andy would be the one to ask. You could post the test results

(include everything, numbers, normal ranges, units, anything at all

that is on the paper), and send the post number to Andy. Include the

plasma tests too.

I had this done as well as plasma
