Guest guest
But, equally, no-one to rush home so you can check they're meeting their deadlines, or whatever - so now you have time to have a massage when you next have your hair done, or go for a facial on a whim, or you and DH take yourselves off for a short break in Amsterdam (or wherever) without worrying about teenager care. Go on, get on the phone and book some retail therapy!! ) I'm glad things were so positive with Azaria last night, too. Hope you're feeling better, today. Leave him behind Ruthie! My DH has yet to visit NYC and I went three times in 12 months before we left for Oz. With his mother, to visit a friend and to meet up with a friend (coincidentally DH's boss at the time!). -- Sue

The only time I miss the children when I travel without them is when I have too many shopping bags and no buggy to put them on. My DH is fine about shopping but can't understand browsing! So as long as I go out and intend to buy things he's more than happy to come along - but he can't understand how I can spend 15 minutes looking in a shop that I know I'm not going to spend money in. Normally it works very well as I go with DH when he is working - so we have a couple of days together and then the rest of the time I can go off and do my own thing. Our recent trip to Boston was a bit different as it was pure holiday (our first ever without the children - even our honeymoon was planned round a book fair in New York) so I felt a bit deprived of my browsing time... Still I did manage to eat my own weight in seafood! http://www.foxstitch.co.uk/

The last time DH was supposed to look after Steffi (when I went to meet his boss and she had even specially ensured he would return from his business trip to Dallas in time to take over. Sadly he came home ill and my Mum and Dad got her for the whole time. -- Sue
