Guest guest
Hi. Does anyone here use Rose Hips as their Vitamin C source? I know it's probably pretty hard to know just how much vitamin C you're getting from a given amount, but I've been using 1 tsp. of rose hips powder stirred into a glass of water 3 times a day. I think I might check the " bowel tolerance " level with it. I like that it provides added things like hesperdin and rutin with the vitamin C it contains. Any thoughts? Guest guest
KAI: Hi Rose Hips for Vitamin C? Hi. Does anyone here use Rose Hips as their Vitamin C source? I know it's probably pretty hard to know just how much vitamin C you're getting from a given amount, but I've been using 1 tsp. of rose hips powder stirred into a glass of water 3 times a day. KAI: This is how we use it as Vit C, as part of the White Blood Cell Food with Hydrangea Root and Brazil nut. Organic Rosehips - 1 tsp. coarsely ground - equivalent to 2000mg of synthetic Vitamin C (grind for 4 seconds at a time to prevent blade from heating and releasing nickel - use soon thereafter) We make sure to include the seeds as well. I think I might check the " bowel tolerance " level with it. KAI: That will be a good indicator for you. So far you have been taking approximately 6000mg per day.? I like that it provides added things like hesperdin and rutin with the vitamin C it contains. Any thoughts?
Guest guest
I have heard from the store where I buy alot of my bulk herbs that you should take rosehip powder with the seeds removed as they are a diuretic..---If you are taking something everyday it does add up . nanciwell
Guest guest
Interesting. How diuretic are they? I'm taking rose hips powder w/seeds, not knowing this. I definitely don't need any diuretics right now, with my low aldosterone/salt wasting I'm dealing with. But then, what if the seeds contain a lot of the requisite Vit. C? > > I have heard from the store where I buy alot of my bulk herbs > that you should take rosehip powder with the seeds removed as > they are a diuretic..---If you are taking something everyday it > does add up . > > nanciwell >
