Guest guest
Sorry for lack of clarity. Am looking for input about whether to try 's protocol, up my dosage or do nothing. I haven't noticed any changes while off of ST3. Its hard at this point to determine if I need thyroid support or if it is all adrenal related. > What doses are you taking of HC and ACE ..... 10 mg HC (I do know that up to 20mg is considered safe, yet I dropped to a lower dosage because of weight gain) ACE 750mg (been taking ADRENergize which has some glandulars) > > Can't say that my adrenals are > > functioning any better either, although its possible that my low > > adrenals are more the problem. > > > > First test result > > TSH 1.303 (.35 - 5.5) > > Free T4 1.16 (.89 - 1.76) > > > > 2nd test > > Free T3 347 (230 - 420) > > Free T4 1.0 (.8 - 1.8) > > TSH 1.54 (.40 - 4.50) > > > > > It isn't clear to me when the tests were taken in relation to when you > were taking which thyroid meds. It takes some time for the numbers ......First test was initial without ever taking meds Second test was 5 days after starting ST3 - at that point had been on Armour for 3 wks, then off 2 wks before test. Hope this makes some sense & doesn't scramble your brain. My doc will probably do what I want but she still insists that my thyroid tests are where they should be. I am most interested in relief of my debilitating fatigue! Thanks for your help. Joy
Guest guest
In the first test there is no T3, so that doesn't really help. The second test you were on T3 for a short time, the levels of T3 aren't up to optimal. I find it unusual that you notice no difference when going on and off thyroid meds. It would take someone with more experience than I have to explain that. It may be that more cortisol is needed, but the weight gain is an indication that the dose at that time may have been too high, or there may have been other factors. If you find that going on thyroid meds makes you feel worse, then that is an indication that more adrenal support is needed. Maybe someone with more experience looking at test results would be better to ask. > > Sorry for lack of clarity. Am looking for input about whether to try > 's protocol, up my dosage or do nothing. Guest guest
JOY, please see www.wtsmed.com, its wilson temperature syndrome protocol, I believe he (DR ) says on this site that thyroid measurements by blood i presume are very unreliable as they do not measure cellular levels of T3 (I think he says this but may be mistaken as i have severe head fog right now) he says temps are the only way to measure thyroid and then treat with synthetic T3 i belive it is and his nutrient supps (selenium is one part of his herbal concoction) > > Sorry for lack of clarity.
