Guest guest
I have very high levels of Candida yeast (as confirmed on recent blood tests) after taking a long round of antibiotics last summer. The end result has been overwhelming brain fog and sluggish fatigue, and more GI woes. Up til now, have only been on natural supps for yeast, such as Primal Defense probiotics (Garden of Life brand), S. Boullardi, and olive leaf extract. Tried some oil of oregano a little while back, but only for a short time. Recently caved and filled my script for Nystatin oral suspension, but found that even after just one dose, I couldn't tolerate it. The very high sugar content (49.8% sucrose! what were they thinking??) reacted badly with my sensitive stomach, as well as made my hypoglycemia act up. So now I'm thinking about getting a script for the powder version of Nystatin. I believe it's supposed to be mixed with water... and tastes a lot like dirt?... But at least, I don't think there's any sugar in there. Was wondering if others have used this for yeast, and what were the results? Recommended? How long did it take to feel results? Is it comparable to using the oral suspension, just minus the sugar? Any other general yeast-busting tips welcome!
Guest guest
My candida is alot better with apple cider vinegar treatment.. It is a wierd sounding one as I had sworn off of any vinegars for the 33 years of being ill. I now am back to some sweet things.. just sitting down to toast with jam on it!!! I would be interested in hearing from others who may have tried it ---- how did you do on it>>?? I had been through the nystatin, grapefruit seed, caprylic acid, etc route and nothing has helped as good as this.. You can expect a short time of die off I guess it would be.. One night of terrible gas --- I was just lucky that two people in one week had recommended it.. one an alternative doctor... I thought they were nuts. BUt I take that sort of thing as a sign , so I stuck with it.. BY the second day.. zoowie!!! better digestion.. feeling better down there..!!! nanci ---
