Guest guest
Karina I am so sorry to hear the news. However I would agree with what others have said in respect to keeping a close eye on you and any signs would be picked up quickly. Gloria Hunniford had a programme on yesterday afternoon talking about Breast Cancer, as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and saying how rare it is in pre-menstrual women and how little support there is. The were talking to a lady who's sister had died and she had set up a charity called the Lavender Trust? to reach younger women. I don't have the details but perhaps if you looked on C5 Open House it may give you details or they may still be on teletext page 411. However they did give a support line which was 0 which you may find useful, I am sure they would either be able to talk to you or point you in the right direction. Please turn the statistics around and read them as a 3 in 4 chance of not getting cancer, and that is still good odds. Dont worry too much, its just a statistic, you could get killed by a bus tommorrow. You cant live your life in fear. Early detection is the best way to survive cancer, so know you know you could get it, you must examine yourself more regularly and get anything you are worried about checked out. It must be a fright for you, but try and put it into perspective, and live your life for today, dont ruin the present by worrying about the future! big hugs to you ((((((((( )))))))))))
