doc said he saw nothing!!!

I'm thrilled but want to read the full report. I had stage 3 and stage 2

and had 2 resections for that as well as other problems. What else can I do

to see and check that I'm disease free.

Nonnie,\

I was stage three and had sukrgery and 5fuk chemo 7

yhears ago. I looked good for a long time and had

clear colonoscopies when required. I am now stage 4

with colon and lung envolvement and my prognosis is

less than promising. The tumor I found was one I

found my self. I had sciatic pain which i was taking

Physical Therapy for and in part of the pulling I

could feel an increase in size of a mass on the left

side. Sure enough a CAT scan revealed a tumor on the

outside of the anastamosis (stitched together colon)

then further examination found the sung involvement.

I'm not blaming the docs on this but it showes that

things can happen that won't be detected by normal

methods. I would ask for an occasional CAT scan or

better yet, a PET scan.

I hope you stay clean forever. Good luck.

i wish you the best so you are saying i should be aware of any pain or

anything that is not normal and make them get to the bottom of it. I have

never had chemo because i was too sick from periontinitis at the time I

should have had chemo and had no problems. I just don't know what to do but

right now I feel fine and getting stronger and stronger. My cea levels are

normal. When you ask for a cat scan do they scan your whole body or just

what?

CT/PET scans can be either abdominal or whole body. In your case where no

cancer is being seen and you have no symptoms Abdominal is probably sufficient.
