Andy,

I think it really depends on how many people you are transporting in addition to yourself and your equipment. I drive a 2005 Hyundai Elantra. It's a relatively small car but if I'm traveling by myself, there is plenty of space. My concentrator sits on the back seat, tanks generally go in the trunk along with my luggage.

I also just returned from a weeks beach vacation. My son and his girlfriend came with me and we used my little car. I didn't bring as many tanks with me....only 6 E tanks. I had tanks delivered to me once I was there but there was room in my car for my concentrator (still on the back seat), 6 E tanks, 2 D tanks, luggage for 3 people (we did pack fairly light) and a cooler. The kids even brought their bicycles on the bike rack we mounted on the back of my car. It was very doable.

I know Bruce travels in his van and finds it very comfortable. I think whatever works for you is what's best!

Would it be easier to travel with a van than a regular car ?

I just started on oxygen July 2nd of this year. I knew nothing about being on oxygen. I went on a three week vacation to Florida. The company I use gave me eight ctanks and a portable concentrator. The concentrator came with a rechargable battery pack that had three batteries in it. It weighs about 10 pounds and has a shoulder strap. They also gave me the name and phone number of a company in Tampa. Guess I got very lucky with my company.> > >> > > Hi Folks,> > > I have a dilemma.
