Guest guest
WOW!!!! This is an awesome piece!!! All the best, Marty Don't Quit....Keep Playing!! When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that her child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out -- " Twinkle,Twinkle Little Star. " & nb! sp; At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy's ear: " Don't quit. " " Keep playing. " Then, leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child, and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed what could have been a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't recall what else the great master played. Only the classic, " Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. " Perhaps that's the way it is with God. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our best, but the resul! ts aren't always graceful flowing music. However, with the hand of the Master, our life's work can truly be beautiful. The next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the Master, whispering in your ear, " Don't quit. " " Keep playing. Guest guest
Donelle, That was a beautiful, moving poem. Thank you for sharing it with us. Yes, it is so true, it is the broken, damaged, hurting & desperate people that turn to God. It is sometimes when we have no further to fall, when we are at our lowest place, we finally cry out for his strength, mercy, guidence & grace. It is the worst of life experience's that allow's us to comfort & guide others. So many people make this life about themselves. It's about loving, serving & comforting others. Lifes hardest experiences allows us to understand others pain, to feel compassion, to want to love those people through. True joy in ones life is not from how big your house is, how expensive a car you drive, how much money you make or how many vacations you take. Joy comes from a peace inside of you, a love you need to share. Drying a tear & seeing a smile return to one that is hurting. Serving someone that needs a helping hand. Just being there to say " I understand " . It is knowing that no matter what happens in this life, no matter how weak we feel, God is our strength. We must find joy despite our circumstances not because of them. No experience in life is wasted if we use it to make a difference in another persons life. We can & should use our pain to bless others. This disease my weaken bodies but it strengthens the spirit. This group is so filled with the most loving, caring, sharing, strongest people there are. Gods best to you all. Marty and Ellen Grogin wrote: WOW!!!! This is an awesome piece!!! All the best, Marty Don't Quit....Keep Playing!!
