Guest guest
This is a reminder to researchers of the availability of an IRB through the Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN). With a strong commitment to farmworkers and other mobile poor, MCN established an Institutional Review Board (IRB) in 2000 to insure the ethical treatment of this vulnerable population in research studies. The purpose of MCN's IRB is to assure that appropriate steps are taken to protect the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in research or projects undertaken by MCN or other individuals or institutions whose principal interest is the health status of migrant and immigrant mobile populations. In addition, MCN's IRB is a source of constructive advice on research design and the protection of human subjects. For additional information and forms for applying to the IRB, go to the MCN website at: www.migrantclinician.org/programs/research/research.html Candace Kugel, CRNP, CNMMigrant Clinicians Network878 N.
