Guest guest
Re: dividing 25 mg capsules. When I had to divide caps, I would dump the contents of the capsule on to an index card (which was on a cutting board), then use a razor blade to make a nice neat pile or line, and divide it in half. Then use the razor blade to shovel the divided powder back into an empty capsule. DMSA is stinky, and I was really happy to be done dividing capsules. People on A-M (and maybe here too) recall when DMSA was only available in 100 mg.

It really is stinky!! LoL I cut the capsule open and spilled out the contents and divided it in half. Can I just take half (12.5mg) straight with water? Im finding it hard to put 12.5mg back in the capsule.

Can I just take half (12.5mg) straight with water? This is fine. Tastes as bad as it smells in my opinion Im finding it hard to put > 12.5mg back in the capsule. It's easier if you buy some empty capsules from one of the online supplement vendors, your local HFS, or http://www.capsuline.com For splitting 25 mg DMSA, I would use size 1 caps or maybe smaller. --

I use a sharp knife and scrape the piles from a piece of parchment or wax paper. J

A round is usually 3 days (2 nights, and then 4 days off fits nicely into a week. Once a person is comfortable with chelation they can chelate longer, as long as they can cope with the night doses - like 1 week on, 1 week off, for example. Whatever fits best with schedules. Guest guest
When we had to divide capsules, we bought our empty gel caps from Vitamin Shoppe online. They carried some smaller sizes, and we would order other supplements from them too, save on shipping, and try to catch some sales. It will definitely be easier to scoop/push the divided powder into a larger capsule. Although no less stinkier.
