Guest guest
That is true. When my CEA started going up they did a pet and cat scan. Found nodule in my lung. That was negative for cancer. While in hospital for that I had a blochage. An emergency surgery revealed scar tissue causing this. Within the scar tissue there was a very small nodule which pet and car scans did not show. This nodule showed to be cancerous. Once removed my CEA dropped back. So you may need a exporitory surgery to be sure. If it is in the abdomen, there is a fair chance that scans will not pick it up. > > I have read several sources that say that if CEA continues to rise and scans continue to be negative that a " look/see " is called for. There are a couple posting right now that only found their cancer and source for rising CEA upon surgery to look and they had peritoneal carcimosis???
