In Ayurveda vertical ridges on fingernails are considered a sign of

mineral imbalance / deficiency.

They also consider fingernails and hair to be closely related tissues.

Interesting, no? I wonder if people with fingernail ridges also

would have hair tests showing mineral transport issues or mineral

deficiencies?

By the way, I've had vertical ridges on my fingernails since I was a

child. So I don't think chronological age is the only cause, or even

a principal cause.

I have vertical ridges, gets worse every year. haven't been tested for

deficiencies since 1980's.I would love to hear more reports on this. I think the

mineral deficiency is a good bet.
