I'm not addressing this to anyone in particular, and I'm not sure this is

the right list (please tell me if I should be posting this on the " nct "

list)... but am I alone in finding it a bit strange that general members

don't have an obvious way of getting hold of this kind of information?

I recently saw a list of specialist workers for the first time (I've been a

member for 2 years) and was amazed to see the long list of posts that

exist - there are specialists in all kinds of areas and I'm sure they're not

getting as many inquiries from needy people as they should do simply because

nobody knows they're there! What a pity.

Am I being thick, or is all this tucked away on the main NCT web site

somewhere? And even if it is, how what about people who aren't online? BTW,

I've got an ulterior motive here - I'm about to be added to the list and

want to know how people are going to find out that I exist!

Thank you Sue! Remember that a lot of us don't get Update and New

Digest, so we rely on you specialist workers, etc to get our info :)

Aren't you newsletter ed? If so, you should be on the mailing list for Update

and New Digest.

The following discussion is being cross-posted to the NCT list, having

arisen on Coffee:

Briefly, a number was requested for the Special Experiences Register.

I agree, Kerry. Since I gave up my posts, even though I have remained

subscribed to the NCT list and NCT-Coffee (although admittedly not

Announce) I am very unaware of anything much NCT admin wise. And there

are only around 800 peoplesubscribed to Announce - as you say, an awful

lot of people are still not online, let alone subscribed to these lists.

It's a shame because there must still be over 30,000 members and we

always find it hard to recruit new volunteers- I wonder how many members

realise just how they could help out?

But I'm the new arrival assistant co-editor, so the editor

gets it and didn't realize the ed gets them. I'll have a

word with her about passing it along...
