Guest guest
Donelle, We do not get tired of the word poop here. Sad to say but since we are here due to colon cancer, poop is a very common problem among us. But I bet Glenn is the one who is so very sick and tired of the poop. Just be glad that he does poop. A blochage is not the way to go either. My heart goes to you so much Donelle. You are dealing with so much. And to make matters so much worse is that Glenn is not taking an active part in his own well-being. He has become so dependent on you. You, are being forced to do so much and go through so much that I am amazed that you are still there and supporting the rest of us too. You are an amazing woman. I feel so bad for Glenn. He must feel very week with this constant bowel problem. And the fears that must be going on in his mind. He is dealing with this in his own way. And you are having to remind him and get after him to still take care of the other health concerns he has. God has plans for all of us. And whatever those plans are we have to just take it as it comes. We have no choice in that. I so wish we did. All we can do is make the best of what comes at us. Donelle, you are the strongest woman I have ever known. You are going through so much and yet you are still so caring and giving. I know that God has special plans for you!!!!! I am sending specail, constant prayers for both YOU and Glenn. Guest guest
Well poop!!! Good for you Donnelle, I hope he took your scolding to heart. I don't know about men. My hubby wouldn't help himself either. I used to marvel at men who came into chemo on their own when he was doing his. he could have never done that - he was always is some sort of brain fog. Used to make me sooo mad at him. Golly wish I had had a support group like this back then, who knows what I might have been able to do to help him then.. Well is all water under the no that is over the bridge now. I guess. Well take care. Hope the yellow tinge doesn't bring more bad news. Hugs and Prayers Jolene Another day...SOS (literally...LOL) Well, gang, we are still having poopy problems here. 7 wks. on Tuesday!! It has lessened, but everytime Glenn eats he has diarrhea several hours later and during the night as well. We are just about at the end of yet another rx...one more day. When he talked with the GI Spec. yesterday, he requested a Liver Profile (b/c of the yellowish tinge to Glenn's skin) and another stool sample. I stayed home from work to get him to the hosp. and of course, he couldn't go then, but got the blood tests done. We had until 5 p.m. to get the stool sample back to the hosp. and he didn't go potty until 4:35 p.m. and I rushed the sample to the hospital arriving at 4:58 p.m. Glenn called and told them not to leave early...LOL I couldn't take another day off work tomorrow. They will fax results to the Dr....so we join y'all in the " waiting game " once more. I just finished sorta reaming him out...well, REALLY reaming him out... telling him he very much needs to sit up and take notice.... God is NOT ready for him yet or he'd be GONE!!! So he better take a little more active participation in his own daily well-being and possible recovery.... I can't do it for him and unless he wants to just lie there and wait....he better start taking better care of himself (at that particular moment, I had just asked him to check his blood sugar...it was 582!!!!! Damn, I was mad!!!) The Cancer and any infections is one thing and not his fault...but darn it, he can at least take care of the things he can control!!!! No wonder his body won't heal!!!! What makes some men so darned hard to deal with when they are sick?? I'm really get tired of talking about poop...LOL Bet y'all are tired of hearing about it, too!!! And, you can bet Glenn is tired of doing it!!! Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
My dear Donelle, You have all my understanding. At time it can be worst. Please post what ever you have to. Posting our problems helps us to release our tensions. So don't worry about us.
