Guest guest
wow great poem Poem by my 12 year old daughter Folks, I was blown away when I read what my daughter wrote Untitled by Alyx Loffer Thunderstorms feel like soft peaceful misery Pulling itself upon me As I remember him Cold air feels like sharp needles Fighting their way into me Smell of sweet scented grass Moist with the morning storm Sky...Dark, Gloomy, Grey Much like how I feel Thunder rolls like hundreds of horses Galloping in the wind And my heart, still very sore and broken Leaves with the storm. Guest guest
Thanks to all of you for your kind words about my daughter's poem. She did get that one published this year, and I told her that I thought she should save this one and submit it next year. With my daughter, there is so many things she really struggles with. I always hoped she'd find something she's really good at, and I think this might be it. She's always been so overly dramatic in everything. She kindof reminds me of the older sister in the Doug cartoon but with a lot more whine. The only thing that worries me is how very deep and dark this poem sounded..but it sure did capture the way you feel when you lose a loved one.
