Guest guest
Ken, I guess it's been close to 8 years since I have been to Lompoc. My grandmother lived in Guadalupe, which I love. It has changed, but the town itself is the same from 45 years ago. Same post office, etc., but Lompoc has changed so, so much. I don't know it at all any more. There was a big boom when I lived there, this was in the 60's. Mission Hills was just starting, when we lived there the homes were few but there were sidwalks like you can't imagine. We lived in skate board heaven. It was one of the best times of my childhood. I was 11, 12 & 13. The space program was going crazy, and Vandenburg was sending rockets up right and left. Lompoc school couldn't accomadate all of us kids, so the high school went in the morning and 7th thru 9th went in the afternoon/evening. I was in the 7th grade at that time. It was crazy and wonderful. I loved the weather because it didn't get real hot. You are so lucky!!!!! ellen An Excellent Credit Score is 750. See Yours in Just 2 Easy Steps! Guest guest
not too many changes in the last 8 yrs. or so, more new homes west of town and where lompoc lumber used to be at "V" st and laurel. wal-mart wanted to build a new building to include their grocery dept. the city council said no, expand on your excisting building, which they are doing. mervin's closed as did ford dealership. with the disapearance of flower fields, the flower festival parade just aint what it used to be, so, they are thinking about replaceing it with some other festival. i will meet with the festival association next mo. to discuss my idea for a festival, have already talked with a few members of the board and they seem to think my idea just might work, so, we'll see. ken To: Breathe-Support Sent: Friday, July 17, 2009 5:52:39 AMSubject: Re: Endoscopy Ken,I guess it's been close to 8 years since I have been to Lompoc.
