Guest guest
Hi - thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my post. I have no problems answering questions, as I'm trying to get as much info as possible, and appreciate your concern. Yes, I'm seeing a GI, and he did a battery of blood tests which showed elevated lypades? I think that's what he said. He also did an ultrasound which showed my pancreas as being inflamed. I do have my gallblader and that seems to be fine, no stones; which is what he was looking for to begin with. He's given me Dannatol for pain as well as told me to take Pepcid AC. The Dannatol really only helps me sleep as it's a barbituate, not sure it does much for the pain, per say. Thanks again for your concern, your welcome and any info. Hope you or your family member are doing well. Blessings, Tarzana, California
Guest guest
Hi Kim, I am so sorry that you lost your dad. And now his second birthday that he is not in this world. But he lives through you and your two daughters. You have not forgotten him. And that is so very important. You knew love and gave love to your father. He must of been a wonderful man for you to miss him so much. Yes, with time it gets easier. But I think that some of the pain of loosing a loved one always stays with us. That is our way of remembering them. Stay strong and positive. And come here often and post. Guest guest
Dear , I have personaly learned that fecal tests are not all that good at diagnosing yeast and bacterial imblance in higher parts of the intestines. These fecal tests can often give false negatives. Also, I have learned that before you use b12 on a child, it is always wise to first find out if they have a problem by checking blood levels. B12 is not safe to give to children just for the sake of it. If Elaine is right all IgG and IgA problems could vanish once the gut heals...so someday you may want to experiment with eggs again. The gut heals rather fast on a strict SCDiet. We lost too the first month...now I have gained almost 8 pounds! Our celiac daughter even with this set back with rotavirus...is 4 pounds heavier than when we started 4 months ago. She lost at first too! This is typical try not to worry about it. Guest guest
We had a similar experience to Antoinette with regard to fecal tests. False negatives. Organic Acid Tests were very helpful to us though. Guest guest
Hi , The tramadol you take, is this a NSAID? Just wondering ......I need something for pain . I am not on anything now that they took away the pain patch. But the only thing, I can't tolerate NSAIDS. Thanks,Debbie T. Co-Moderator I just wanted to leave you all know my headache finally is back under control, after a week, I got my oxycontin precription on Saturday but it took till today to finally get the pain under control. it was the first day I woke up without that brain squezzing pain. I am sorry I have not kept up with emails for the past week but between school work and the pain, grrrrr Happy birthday to all that I missed, and I hope all is having a pain free day if possible I think I saw someone asking questions about the liver ? I was dxd with autoimmune hepititis, with a liver biopsy. now the Dr said it was not caused by drugs, that I never did or catch from having sex its was due to the sarcoid. But I have to admit, I was put on the steroid thing at first and it didn't get my liver function under control, but when sherif, started bringing me home the mike thistle from GNC and I take it 2 times a day my liver function started to even out and is not high anymore. so I hope all has a wonderful fall day and is feeling as good as you can. many love and hugs and blessings McCain or Obama? Guest guest
I don't know the answer to that. maybe ask your pharmacist. mary 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Guest guest
hi Everyone I am going to the cornea specialist today (not the first time I have been going to this dude since last October.) to have my left cornea scraped. I have scar tissue on my corneas or corneal dystrophy or salzzmann nodular degenerative. I had this procedure dome om 2002 on the right eye. This is no laser cutting, only a scapel or knife or something that is vastly uncomfortable numbed with numbing drops. is going with me to Chattanooga for this procedure this afternoon. After the left eye heals, I can have the cateract removed. Toodles! Jane UIP/IPF 12/1998 Dalton, Georgia aka pianolady_musicgirl
Guest guest
Sherry,Helping others also helps ourselves. I have found so many things to better my health by starting down this road to help my husband. I enjoy it and learning new things. It is my pleasure to putting my thinking cap on, so don't hesitate to ask a question. As you can see, we all jump in if we have a suggestion! I didn't find them harsh. This is the kind of info I want. I already felt quite leery about these meds, but in the beginning we were not given a choice and the SCD diet was never mentioned. I've had to investigate a lot of things over the time that my son has been ill (since he was 12), so I have learned to be his advocate-no doubt.I am so glad you are all willing to share your experiences with us newbies. It's SO helpful to get advice from those who have done it and have had success.I feel cautiously optimistic about this. :)Others have said that it doesn't work for everyone, but I can't see what the harm would be in trying. The book makes so much sense to me. I'm sure once I get into this, I have a lot more questions for you. ;)Thanks again, and good health to you and your husband.Sherry
