Not 3 minutes ago I was reading a study about low lithium in mothers of

children with autism.

Is lithium a safe supplement to take when pregnant?

---------I really don't know. Andy suggests *much* lower doses than what

they give for bipolar. I would suggest using www.onibasu.com and searching

the archives of this group, adult-metal, and Autism-Mercury, type in key

words like " lithium " " pregnancy " and " andrewhallcutler " , and see if you get

any hits. If not, then you could probably email Andy directly and ask him.

You could also ask on Autism-Mercury if any of the parents there are taking

it, and have done so during pregnancy.

I know VRP carries lithium orotate that is in the low doses that Andy

recommends. There may be others. www.vrp.com --------Jackie

(I really don't know much about it other then they give it for biopolar

disorder and in that case it can be dangerous)..

- you've got 12 outside of the green zone, meaning 11 inside. That

meets the counting rules. You also have incredibly low mercury - that itself

might be enough to conclude that you are mercury toxic. Finally, you are

accumulating tin, which is often seen in Hg toxic situations.I think this is

a slam dunk -Unfortunately, you also appear to be copper toxic, since it's

red high. You will need to avoid high copper foods (nuts, I think are the

worst offenders), and take both zinc and molybdenum for a few months, which

should help this come down.Your lithium is also red low, so you might

consider taking some lithium orotate, which is an OTC nutritional

supplement. (There is a second OTC form, but I've forgotten the name.)Dave.

. This is a different form of Lithium -orotate vs. carbonate.

As far as I know, this should be fine, but that's only based on lack of

any warnings from Andy (or anyone else, as far as a quick search on

onibasu shows) on this issue. You might want to get on A-M and see if

you can ask him directly.

If you are going to get dental work done, then you should be waiting

longer before you try to conceive. I belive the time frame is 18

months. Check Onibasu.com. Search on the Autism-Mercury list, and try

to find posts that talk about pregnancy and dental work. I am certain

that this has been discussed before.

Dave.
