There are people who have started chelating without the book (that comes from my reading of posts on autism mercury, I was horrified to find out that parents were chelating kids without the book). I ask because I have everything, or so I believe, that I > need to start. Just wondering if I should wait another 2 weeks until > payday so that I can order the book. I am just READY to begin. I just am ready. > It's probably ok to start chelating now. Be sure to check with the group before you start - tell us what you are planning to do. I haven't looked at Dana's site, but I know she chelates improperly. People using ALA according to her dose timing are sure to get worse instead of better. > > > > > It is like going on a long journey into the unknown without a map. > > The chances of getting lost are high even with the map. Maybe they are new to this, and are testing out the waters. > Trying to soak up as much knowledge as they can. And people like you > could be just what they need. It is impossible to tell what condition the person who posts on the internet is in. We are given very little information. Anything that we suggest is just a suggestion for them to research, and they can't do that if they don't have the instruction book. Two good examples are - if I tell someone that their symptoms suggest that they need hydrocortisone or potassium, I know that there are pages devoted to those topics in " Amalgam Illness " and that if they read those pages they will understand the cautions associated with those two things. I don't type out all of the cautions. In this group we try our best to make sure that the information posted is as accurate as possible. In other groups quality control isn't always there. The consequence is that people can get false or misleading information, that can lead to harm. If they have Andy's book, read it and check up on things, they are less likely to harm themselves. > I am not > advocating chelating without the book. Just curious if anyone out > there had/has done it, and did they end up purchasing AI? In this group I assume everyone has " Amalgam Illness " . I know there are people who have tried to chelate without the book, but I have no way of knowing how many people or what kind of outcomes they had. I am aware that she uses ALA only, and that the dosages and the timing are not recommended by Andy. There is still a lot of wonderful knowledge to glean from her site, however. > I am less concerned about someone who will be getting the book > eventually, and who is a member of this group. ----Glad to hear that > It is impossible to tell what condition the person who posts on the > internet is in. Guest guest
> > I just wanted to throw out a little comment on this thread: > > Summer, it took me a year to decide whether or not to buy Andy's book (I'm basically broke and didn't want to spend money if I didn't need to). Over the course of that year, I was reading this group's posts every day, plus getting info from elsewhere. I was feeling very confused on which protocol to try, but came to the conclusion that THIS is the protocol worth trying and sacrificing for. I bought the book, and having read it, cover to cover, I understand many things so much better (though I have a few questions I still haven't gotten around to asking in here), finding myself thinking it's money VERY well spent. I wish I had the book a year ago! The book is a necessary tool and you won't regret getting it, though you really should be ordering it now, IMO. > : Donna > I personally can't wait to get my hands on it!
