Guest guest
What a day! Phil did go to the ER via friends from church. He had a 103.8 fever with chills and extreme exhaustion. His blood pressure was about 68/43 They performed every blood test out there as well as urinalysis, chest x-ray and abdominal x-ray/CT scan. They did a quick urinary catheter for that test then removed it. He has a big IV of fluids as he is dehydrated despite downing quarts of water Gatorade etc all week. The doctor feels he has some infection but we won't know until tomorrow exactly what is causing it. He was give Neuprogen as his white counts are super low. He ate a little but mostly drank water. He also is getting Antibiotic. His temp. was 97 when I left. Pulse and respiration good and his blood pressure in normal range. He's not out of the woods yet but feeling better. He is in Hamot Hospital State Street Erie, PA room 720. Thanks for your prayers and support A big thanks to my family, friends, church and especially Colon Cancer Support Group Narice Phil Dan & Tim PS Yes It's 1 AM and yes I'm going to bed
Guest guest
OH what a long day for you Narice and for Phil too. Sounds like he is better. Is amazing how the body can dehydrate and we don't even realize it. I wonder if they will figure out what sort of infection he has and where. Poor guy. Prayers continuing for him to feel much better and for eventual elimination of the rotten disease. Hugs to you also Jolene The hospital again!!! Phil's update Oct. 30 What a day!
