I say " we " because both of my NT kids have been chelating with me. We got started on this strange journey because my youngest kid, although NT, was an explosive moody toddler, then preschooler, then 5 yo...you get the picture. Hey, she's not outgrowing this! An online friend of mine whose child had an Asperger's dx told me about Andy's protocol. I read his books, got hair tests, and here we are. We did a trial of ten rounds, and knew we wanted to keep going. My youngest is doing much better. My friend's kid has recovered. I feel better. For me, it's been 3 steps forward and 2 back. There have been lots of things to figure out and try to fix while continuing to chelate. Ex: adjusting supplements, lifestyle changes, thyroid & adrenals, food intolerances, gut healing, etc. We've taken a long break from chelating, and may or may not get back to doing more rounds.
