Guest guest
I just ended round 11 early because I couldn't sleep. I was wondering if anyone else had this? and is it the DMSA or ALA causing this? Not sure which one to reduce. I take melatonin and a sleep formula at night. The strange part was is that I was extremely tired and lethargic but just couldn't get to sleep. Also, felt like my skin was " crawling " , I was restless. The 2nd night, the same thing ( with increased melatonin), so I didn't take the 1am dose and finally went to sleep. DMSA and ALA both at 25 for last 3 rounds (9,10, 11). Trouble sleeping but not too bad. Round 8 increased DMSA from 17 to 25 and noted sleeping problems. Don't know if had sleep problems b4, since I can't remember and it's not noted. I've had some mild problems with sleeping for a couple of years and melatonin always works, except this weekend. I don't want to reduce both since I hate splitting caps. Other: Adrenal support in morning-- ACE. No caffeine after noon. 8 months post amalgam. Been super tired off round for a month.
Guest guest
I too had/have this problem, exactly as you describe, and it was at the worst from about 7-10 months post amal. It's somewhat better now (1 yr 4 mos PA), but still happens. And I take a higher dose now. I find it is the ALA, which generally energizes me -- good during the day, but not so good at night. Unfortunately we have to take it round the clock. Here's what I find helps: 1. Relora, especially if you have trouble with adrenals, about 250 mg an hour before bed. 2. 5HTTP, about 50-100 mg, taken same time as the Relora. 3. Melatonin, yes, but essential to find the right dose. Right as you lie down to sleep, not before. 4. Pro-gest progesterone cream, rub into skin right before bed. 5. Take Vit C 1-2 grams, taurine, magnesium malate, and pantothenic acid (250-500mg), close to bed time. This also helps the adrenals cope overnight. This is VERY useful, i couldn't do without it. Some type of GABA supplement, but dosage is tricky and individual. Believe it or not, i do ALL these things every night before i go to sleep, and it helps a lot. Got me off Lunesta, which i was on for over a year. Hope this helps, NJ > > I just ended round 11 early because I couldn't sleep.
