Keion will care for you deeply, in his own way.

I bought a book he'd been wanting yesterday.

After he read some of it, I came and sat in his room

with him.

" do you like the book? "

no answer

" is it a funny book? "

no answer

" Well, good night then "

As I reach the door I hear him say, softly

" I love it. Thanks Mom. "

Keion may not show affection the way other kids do,

but he will care for you, in his own way, in his own

time.

Ah Jacquie,

I hope you find it soon. I am with you though, I don't think it would be easy.

I didn't even CONSIDER the whole theory of mind thing, Raena! You're

absolutely right.

Well, I finally realized what I had to be thankful about -- one thing that I

mourned long ago was the idea that my child would ever give enough of a crap

about things to slam the door one me and scream, " I hate you! You ruined my

life! "

So in that way, 's telling me he hated me was actually a wonderful gift.

I wonder if that is the literal interpretation of Drop Dead?

The other side of this....

Sometimes I WISH my son would've told me he hated me or whatever he was

feeling at the time. He never did. He was always respectful and never talked

down/back to me. If he did, maybe I'd have a clue into what was going on

with him. :-(

At least if they tell you, then you can at least have an idea that something

is going on and open discussion.

I never " disrespected " my mother either...never would THINK of telling her

" I hate her " . Still can't do it. LOL

Poor Jacquie. I think you're getting a dose of nt-ness that is the less

pleasant side.
