Guest guest
A new doc was definitely MY answer. No way I would change pulmodudes, but definitely without even thinking twice about it I changed my pcp. But that is just me and I live in a medical town where there is always another doctor choice. I empathize about the doctor two-step they have given you. Clearly the doctor and his PA have not spent enough time as a patient. Guest guest
Nan, Instead od looking for a "pain clinic" try to find a sports medicine and ortho group. These usually take most ins and the have a dr that does just pain meds It took me a while till I learned the difference. All the pain clinics wanted to do was steroid injections. you can usually find the sports med around any pro athlets eyc. Guest guest
Nan, So sorry for you, yes I would be looking for a new pcp asap. I am sooo lucky it is amazing. My pcp is actually a specialist in helping people beat opiod dependence, but he has never had a problem writing scrips for percoset for me. Before I was on the predenisone I was taking 2 to 3 percoset a day for the fibro and neuropathy. And he never rushes things, thank God. I am truely blessed that way. Get thee to a new doc! and hand in there. Dyane Phoenix ipf 02 > > Well guys, I went to my primary yesterday. I saw a nurse practioner. Guest guest
Hi , I already tried the sports med center. They did steriod injections. In fact, one of the injections they even put me in the hosp. to do it. I've been to just about every doctor my primary can think of. That's the reason why I've decided to try Beth Israel. Guest guest
Thank you Dyan for understanding what I've been going through. Lately, I've been taking between 4 and 6 percocet per day. At that amount, I still have pain but I'm able to walk and feed myself. Nan > > > > Well guys, I went to my primary yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Nan, You certainly are not wrong for being so upset. That was an awful experience. I guess you never even saw the doctor. I think you might be right about looking for a new primary. You certainly need one that you can trust and feel comfortable with. Isn't is nice to know there is a place that you can vent and people understand.
