Guest guest
Welcome Alice, It's great you found us. This is an awesome group of wonderful people. The best part for me is that the people here " get it " . If you have questions or problems, most likely, there's someone here that can help. Chest x-rays never showed much and so my (ex) doctor was never really concerned. Then in April 2008 I came down with a cold that was going around, but my cough never went away. After two trips to urgent care and both times being told *it's just a cold* I gave up on seeing doctors about it and just let it take it's course. > Then in August 2008 I went in for my yearly check up with my family doctor, who sent me directly to the hospital because of extremely low oxygen levels. After a hospital stay, many tests, CAT scans/x-rays, biopsies, blood work, my pulmonologist was able to diagnose me with chronic autoimmune hypersensitivity pneumonitis (we are still trying to find the cause..it's not mold or animal/bird sensitivities that the doctors/tests could detect) that has cause pulmonary fibrosis. > Currently I am on no oral medicine. Guest guest
Hi Joyce! Thank you for the warm welcome! My doctor ruled birds out because of my history of never owning/working with birds of any type nor have I had expossure to wild birds of any type (no nesting or rousting areas in or around our house or property).
