, thank you. I do like my name. My middle name is Cozette. I like that too. I wish I had known about you before. I just got back from 2 weeks in Gig Harbor with my daughter. I would have loved to have met you then. I know where Grapeview is. I lived in Sunnyslope for the last 33 years that I lived there. I want to move back but I'm unsure what I am going to do. I'm sorry that you can't care for a horse. I have to sell. I just can't keep a house up anymore let alone the yard. I don't have a son here to mow for me. I have one in Port Orchard and another who just bought a house in sville. Send me a personal e-mail and maybe I can arrange to meet you the next time I get to that area.Beverley Joy,71, UIP,NSIP 1-09,Diabetes,Sjogren's,Fibromyalgia IdahoSubject: Re: Medical Home Alarm System? To: Breathe-Support Date: Saturday, July 25, 2009, 1:36 PM

Hi Beverly Joy! What a beautiful name!

I grew up in Bremerton and still work in Bremerton, but last year I bought a house on one acre in a small town called Grapeview between Allyn and Shelton. It's a small one-level home and I love it! It's beautiful and quiet out here, about 45min to Bremerton.

This was my final home purchase, I wanted some land with wide open spaces. I rode horses as a young girl and 3 years ago I started riding again and rode all summer long with a friend on her property. So, when this house on one acre came avail last year, I was so excited, I had big plans to get my own horse to ride for as long as I could and then teach my future grand-kids. But all that has changed now. I couldn't even attempt to keep a horse and ride now. Even maintaining the yard is difficult for me. My son comes out every Sunday to mow for me. I not ready to sell my place yet, but the distance from everything is a concern for me. I do have about 15 neighbors on my tiny dirt road, so I'm not totally isolated.

Anyway, I hope I can meet you someday when you come into town!

i started using my baby stroller for getting the groceries from the car to the inside garage door -- it has simplified one more part of my life

if you have some sort of wagon or cart, use it == i think i got the idea from Rudy Joyce

also, i leave the bags, take the refrigerator/freezer stuff, put that away and sometimes i rest before unpacking the rest of the stuff -- it can be a lot of work and i live on one floor with one step into the house from the outside

KISS -- keep it simple

I have one that I purchased from the QVC web site for less than $100. You don't have to pay any monthly fee except for your normal phone bill. You enter emergency numbers that you'd like called if you're down, most likely starting with 911... You can also enter an emergency message that will play if you can't speak. It also has a speakerphone so that when you push the button, which you can wear around your neck or keep in your pocket, if you don't have the phone in hand, the speakerphone will kick in and you can hear whoever is on the other end and yell at them. It does a lot of other stuff. I don't remember the brand name but it was on QVC for about $99. I don't watch the channel, but I heard about it and went to the web site and there it was. There are little plastic waterproof cases if you want to wear it in the shower.

I hadn't really thought much about that until I was filling out a new patient form for one of my doctors and one question was: Have you been hospitalized in the past year? How many times? One of those things that make you go hmm.

The air here is no better today. Took me almost 45 minutes to get six bags of groceries the six feet from the car to the front door and then up one flight of stairs to the kitchen.
