You can sign me up for a bunch of those shirts, I would sell them at the senior citizens center and even the grocery store and send the proceeds to either the Chicago Foundation or one of the many pulmonary centers (my favorites are the Mayo Clinic and National Jewish, but then we all have our preferences) . It needs to be brought to the forefront. Guest guest
The T-shirts are a great idea, but I want to remind board members to write their Congressmen to support current legislation to appropriate funds to bring more awareness of our disease and to increase research. To my knowledge, this is a first effort to get Congress to do something on this scale. A flood of support from those of us who live with this disease would help make it a reality. My Congressman has assured me that he will support the bill and urge all Congressman to do the same. BUT THEY NEED TO HEAR FROM US! Don't miss the chance to make your voice heard. Guest guest
Beth and everyone... This is great and it just shows how we all want recognition of our disease and awareness too. This is how it starts and grows...I'll start tracking names and sizes,so when we have the final design and info we will be ready to place the orders! We will get an order form put together also! Go Blue...is right! Any blue shirt will work till we get the shirts put together! Every Friday will be a Blue friday until all know about this disease. I am sincerely grateful that you are all supporting this...we will make a difference! I can see newspapers with pictures and stories of groups of us wearing our Blue Shirts...PF will be talked about,T-shirts can make a difference and it is all thanks to you! Good job! Guest guest
As best as I can remember, it is HC 70 or HC73. Sorry, but my notes on the bill got lost in the move. However, your congressman should be able to get it by just asking for the bill on "improving public awareness of IPF and proving funding for IPF research."
