Guest guest
As many of our current CC support members might know Ed is 's Dad and also did research for us on various topics. I might also note as an FYI that 's widow Sindee is working in the Cancer research field. Here is a post Ed did for a woman with polyps who was worried about her diagnosis. Date: Mon Sep 23, 2002 6:47 pm Subject: Some Colorectal Dysplasia definition(s) Here's what I came up with: " dysplasia: altered appearance under the microscope of the cells lining the colon which is indicative of SUSCEPTIBILITY to develop malignancy. " And: " Often the first sign that cancer MAY BE developing is called dysplasia. Dysplasia means the cells lining your colon or rectum look as if they will turn into cancer. " So this would indicate you DO NOT HAVE cancer, but a condition that must be watched. I hope this is of some help.
