Guest guest
Joynoel Why did he take you off oxygen? Were you able to do all forms of exertion and activity and stay above 90%? Did you have an oximeter to check? Your situation of struggling going down below 10 is common. No one should ever make a change on their own. You might have done better going down slower as 10 to 5 is a 50% drop. But many people reach 10 or 5 and thats as far down as they can go without problems. What form do you have? The live or die argument is logical perhaps with some and not with others. One of Dr. Raghu's arguments is that he believes NSIP is often misdiagnosed as UIP, so the best way to determine is to try prednisone. Generally then if the prednisone is effective, the diagnosis may be changed. The classification of ILD's continues to be very difficult. Today, IPF is considered to be UIP of unidentified cause from medical sense. Other forms of PF are better labeled as their specific form even if the cause is unknown. > > > > > > From: > > Sher Bauman bofus (AT) wbcable (DOT) net> > > Subject: > > Sher' thinking too much? > > To: > > Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. com > > Date: Tuesday, June 16, > > 2009, 9:50 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > I've > > read on a couple posts lately, re: Dr. Raghu in Seattle, that he > > apparently wants to do bios and/or use prednisone.. > > . > > > > I do > > not want to do either, so I'm wondering if knowing this ahead of time > > would defeat my purpose in going to see him?? > > > > What > > say you? > > > > > > MamaSher; 70, IPF 3-06, OR. > > > > Nasturtiums > > Don't fret about tomorrow, God is already > > there! > > >
