Guest guest
Finally I have managed to finish my first round of three days on ALA & DMSA, 12.5 mg of each chelator each two hours. My first attempt was unsuccessful. I tried it each 3 hours, and I found myself extremely tired and I was unable even to manage to program my phone to wake up during night. The tiredness was unbearable. Previously I did 7 rounds of DMSA only at 12.5 mg or 25 mg each three hours (it was rough at the higher dosage). The reasons to consider this option were: 1. At HTI, p. 238, Andy says " People who find a chelation protocol " rough " often do much better if the interval between doses is DECREASED, and find it gets rougher if the interval is INCREASED. While obvious from pharmacokinetic considerations, this is apparently counterintuitive for many health care providers. " , 2. In http://onibasu.com/archives/am/92631.html Andy says that timing each two hours or more often is really a " giant pain " , but I think he refers to the practical problems of waking up at night too often or preparing too many capsules, etc. In my case, what I really found a " giant pain " was the extreme tiredness of timing each three hours. Otherwise it follows from the message that it seems to be no problem with more frequent dosing. 3. There are also some other messages addressing the possibility of timing more often than each three hours. For example http://onibasu.com/archives/am/92509.html or http://onibasu.com/archives/am/94116.html Well, timing each two hours I have felt really great during the round. I though it was more prudent to stop after the third day but I would have liked to continue. The day and a half after the round I have been tired, not extremely but I would say 'quite tired'. Nevertheless, the tiredness has been compatible with normal life (taking care of my children including a picnic, but silently wishing the picnic to end and to be able to go to bed!). The last dose was only of DMSA. Maybe next round I will take some more doses of DMSA only to end the round trying to soften a little bit the end of the round. Perhaps I could also try to check if it is possible for me to time the chelators each 2.5 hours or each three hours at night, but maybe I will leave this issue for some future. I am quite enthusiastic with the possibility that I have found a right timing for me. I don't know to what extent this information would be of interest to others or even if my next round will be as great as this one has been.
