Reposting this one too. Am I the only one with Cystinuria?

My recent urine test showed that I have Cystinuria. I have been

reading about it but would like to know if anyone here has experience

of this and it's relationship to Amalgam Illness. It does not appear

to have any mention in AI

1)Regarding the Cystinuria: Is this something which has been caused

by my mercury poisoning?

2) Is it a common problem in AI?

3) Can you have cystinuria with high or low plasma cysteine/cystine?

Knowing that plasma testing for Cystine is unreliable, could it be

that in this case my very low plasma Cyst(e)ine is accurate or could

it still really be high?

4) I read that one should eat a low animal protein diet with

Cystinuria. I suppose then that the low sulphur diet would also be a

good idea?

5) This question may be dumb but...If someone is wasting cystine in

their urine, why should they limit cysteine making foods? It would

seem to me that you need more cysteine to replace what you are losing

and not reclaiming in the kidneys?

6) Any other comments about Cystinuria are welcome.
