According to Murray (The Encyclopedia of Nutritional Supplements, 1996),

" the dosage (three times daily with meals) of a lecithin product with

90 percent phosphatidylcholine is:

- For the treatment of liver disorders, 350 to 500 milligrams.

- For lowering cholesterol, 500 to 900 milligrams.

- For the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and bipolar depression,

5,000 to 10,000 milligrams. "

Since the product I've got only have 35% of PC, a lot of softgels are

needed to reach the equivalent of 5,000 - 10,000 milligrams. But high

doses of lecithin are associated with " anorexia, nausea, abdominal

bloating, gastrointestinal pain and diarrhea " (same source as above).
