Guest guest
Steve, Looking forward to seeing you again. I hope Jack can make it down from Bangor. I haven’t heard from him. Good news on the transplant quest, I hope it all falls into place. DeFazio from Boston (he is on the PFF support group) should be at the symposium he was listed at Brigham and Women’s and was flown to Pittsburgh for a transplant shortly following the last symposium. Maybe we can all have a toast with bottles of Poland Springs (LOL). I just had my latest appt. at the Lung Transplant Clinic at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, last Thursday. I am now at the point where they anticipate activating me on the transplant list after my next visit, in 4-6 weeks. That is contingent on my losing the remaining weight to get down to my upper weight limit. I am now on day 11 of a physician supervised liquid diet. In the first 11 days I have now lost 12 pounds and I have another 12 left to go. So, I probably won't be able to eat the lunch they provide at the symposium!!! lol They will have oxygen available for those that need it. I remember they had it last year also and it was a great help, being able to refill my Helios Marathon.
