I recently received a letter that Congress is considering a bill - HR - 1079 Pulmonary Fibrosis Enhancement Act of 2009. The legislation could have a significant impact on the funding for research and toward establishment of a national registry to track victims of PF. The bill is before the Energy and Commerce Committee and they will have the strongest voices when it comes to the House. Committee members are from AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL,GA, IA,IL,IN, KY,,LA,MA,MD,MI,MO,NC,NE,NY,NY,OK,OR,PA,TN,TX,UT,VA,VI,VT,WA,WI.

Call or write you congressman, tell him your story, and urge him to help pass this bill. It just may be the best

opportunity we will ever have to get reconigition and dollars for our disease. Even though it may be too late

for us older ones, as we all see, the age of the newly diagnosed gets younger and younger. Jack79/IPF - UIP/dx06/05 Maine

Thanks Jack. This is indeed a very important piece of legislation. Please contact your congress person and let them know why this passage of this bill is important to you!
