Hmmm...I don't know what you are talking about here. But I didn't see any

offensive answers from Andy here. If you have a problem with him, please

keep it to private e-mails. We parents have enough to worry about and don't

really need to or have the time to read irrelevant posts like this.

If you were kidding on the other hand, it didn't look like you were.

If anyone feels they need to express themselves about opinions please email

Andy, I'm not sure who 'LO' is, but I have been a member of this list for a

while now and I've never seen any bickering at all. We have all supported

one another through alot of 'stuff'. We all do have different opinions.

Here's what I know about Flouride and Aluminum. They can pass across the

placenta to a developing fetus, there they can pass the blood brain barrier

and like to deposit them selves in the thyroid. Aluminum and Flouride are

both metals that can be toxic. They are also strongly attracted to each

other and form covalent bonds- the strongest chemical bond that can be

formed. Everyone feel free to edit or flame at will. But, realize that all

I am doing is sharing information, just like Andy. Is this idea fringe?

Maybe, alot of study is done in Canada by a group - help with

this? Remember, gf/cf may not be fringe to us now, but it was and still is

to alot of people. We all can only deal with so much info at once, maybe

that was why 'LO' reacted so strongly. When we first learn new things we

want to share, share, share...I know I did. Let's just all try to take

information in the spirit in which it is intended. Deanna

Hi Beverly,

I was not aware that I had sent any offensive emails. I do not wish to be part

of a list where people fight. I joined this list to gain support, information,

and inspiration.

I am not interested in bickering with anyone.

Look up GA-GTP....this is exactly what the convalent bond makes, which is a

anti-thyroid hormone. It is in my proposal paper if you want it?

Thank You for your interest in my baby..I've sent you her complete story off

list and appreciate any advice/direction you can give me. I'm desperate for

answers.....jennifer

Hi group, my daughter was originally started on depakote for absence

seizures. I have never seen a med. make a child so violent before!

She had become uncontrollable and the neuro. ended up having to give

her clonodine for sedation. Then her med. was changed to lamictal. I

was told by neuro. to watch out for a rash, that it could be life

threating. This is really scarey. When i asked the pharmacist about

lamictal he said he didn't know to much about it, that it wasn't a

widely used drug. Has anyone had any experiences good or bad with

lamicatl? So far she has been fine, but we are only doing 10mg. a

day...(still not helping her seizures either) If you have had this

med. what is a theraputic dose? I am guessing that it differs from

person to person right? I also read that this wasn't used in children

under the age of 16...daughter is 7. Is this old info?? If anyone has

any incite on this i would be greatful.

Thanks,

,

Our neuro is starting us on Lamictal as well. I've read extensively about it

and you're right it does sound scary....if it makes you feel any better he

said that a lot of the studies on Lamictal and rash were small and

misleading. He said the larger data from Germany shows that it is a much

safer drug. I've copied the dosing table below from the PDR for you to

review. He claims the key to avoiding the rash is to " go slow " so your neuro

should be titrating up slowly every 1-2 wks. I can't comment on side effects

b/c we are not at a therapeutic dose yet. You can go to PDR.net and read the

entire profile. Although, you may not want to...it may scare you to death.

Remember that they must list every reported side effect even though most are

rare. PDR.net is a good source to obtain drug-drug interactions and other

info. about any drug you want to learn about. Lamictal is weight based so

that's how you will determine her therapeutic range. Medical profession uses

kg. for weight. In case you aren't familiar with kg....just divide her wt. in

pounds by 2.2 and you will get her wt. in kg. I don't mean to confuse you. If

I did, send me her wt. and I'll figure it for you.

Table 9: LAMICTAL Added to EIAEDs (Without VPA)

in Patients 2 to 12 Years of Age Weeks 1 and 2 0.6 mg/kg/day in two divided

doses, rounded down to the nearest whole tablet.

Weeks 3 and 4 1.2 mg/kg/day in two divided doses, rounded down to the

nearest whole tablet.

Usual maintenance dose: 5 to 15 mg/kg/day (maximum 400 mg/day in two divided

doses). To achieve the usual maintenance dose, subsequent doses should be

increased every 1 to 2 weeks as follows: calculate 1.2 mg/kg/day, round this

amount down to the nearest whole tablet, and add this amount to the

previously administered daily dose.

Sincerely,

(Jordan's Mom)

Sherri,

The curriculum mentioned by Candace was developed and produced by NCFH

in collaboration with several dentists from health centers in South

Texas and with two dental hygienists, including Magda. The curriculum,

Healthy Smiles for a Lifetime is in English and Spanish and is available

through the NCFH Resource Center.

It is very good. Attached is a very basic outline I made up, using references

to that book. I have forwarded your email to Magda de la Torre at UTSan

because she has developed a curriculum like what you are looking for, but I have

never seen it...

Pam, when did you go to the dude ranch in Fla? I went to one on Lake Kissimee

in 79,80,81? I can't remember. And, yes, I also remember MDA doing everything

and more that you mentioned. It's only in the last 20-25 yrs. that they've

focused more on research. I miss the " old days " , mainly because it wes so much

fun. Us " old farts " (I'll be 51 on the 3rd) only have our memories of what MDA

used to be. Some changes arn't so good, huh? Love and peace to all, Vickie

Yes Vickie, it sounds like the same trip to me. I may have met you years

ago and we don't even know. Did you come to the one in New Orleans? We

had a great Mardi Gras costume dance and that is where I first met Mike,

dressed in drag no less, LOL.

Hi, I was at one MDA adult trip in New Orleans. Won the costume

contest as Betsy Ross! Really original, wasn't it?

Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Urine toxic metal test. Lx

Re: Nasal mb12 spray without prescription?

Similar story here, but when we tried with the cream, he wakes up when

we try to lift the cream cover foil. We also tried without the foil,

aplying just the cream on a larger area in the hope that it will all go

numb... didn't happen though.

Do you use that foil for the cream?

He actually doesn't wake when the needle goes in, he wakes BEFORE that

happens. He has got some invisible sensors I think... he starts tossing

and turning as soon as we enter the room to give him the shot, never

does that otherwise...
