. I wonder if you might be able to post these tests as pdfs or jpgs? I'm

willing to look over them, but it will literally take me 5x as long to do it

this way (and no matter how careful people are, I always find mistakes). If

you have the pdfs, you could either post them to the files section of this

list, or send them to Dean - instructions here:

http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/hairtest.html, and then let us know that the

tests are posted.

Or, you might scan the test and post it to the list. If you don't have a

scanner, a local copy shop should be able to do it for a couple of bucks.

(I do see that mercury for both of your folks is extremely low. This might

itself be sufficient to conclude that your are probably looking at a mercury

problem; but there is a lot more that can be gotten out of the hair tests.)

hair test interpretation questions (part 1--mom)

I would be grateful for any help I can get with 2 hair tests--I'll put

them in separate posts for simplicity. I recommended that my parents

send hair tests to DDI and they gave me permission to ask for

suggestions from the group regarding the results. I am concerned for

them because I am mercury toxic from my amalgams, and my son is

mercury toxic from me. Both my parents have more and bigger amalgam

fillings than I did, and for more years.

I'm at the beginning stages of gathering information and figuring out

the right topics to start looking into more in-depth to help provide

my parents with enough information to make an informed choice as to

what to do with these results. So any suggestions are very, very

welcome.

My mom's results, in particular, aren't clear to me. She is on

high-dose mineral supplements for osteopenia/osteoporosis that testing

shows has stopped her bone loss (so she's getting better compared with

age-peers). I don't understand whether or how that could affect the

results below. She's had adrenal and thyroid (hypo then hyper and

RAI) issues for years, and assorted " typical " stuff—-anxiety,

intermittent depression, environmental allergies (not debilitating).

hair test interpretation help (part 2 - dad)

This is my dad's test. My biggest questions regarding him (though

don't limit yourself to my questions, I am too ignorant to know all

the questions to ask at this point—and yes, I am ordering HTI this

weekend) are: are toxic elements accurate for such deranged mineral

transport? The toxic elements look pretty healthy, and the essential

and other elements look whacked. And it looks like he meets 2

counting rules. My understanding is that indicates an even higher

likelihood of mercury toxicity. Does it also correlate to being

sicker and having a longer, harder road to good health?

As for his current health, he has an assortment of " typical " (not

debilitating) health ailments—depression, sleep problems,

environmental allergies, acid reflux, and he's cold-—he keeps his

office very warm. I think there's a lot of subtle stuff that adds up

to not feeling really good, but not diagnosed or debilitating. His

liver is not great due to excessive alcohol and even though he has not

consumed alcohol for many years at this point, I don't think his liver

is normal--would that affect the hair results?

Dave, I thought the time lag I was noticing between posts was just

me--but it's not (I updated my original posts with the # on

livingnetwork, they're 184 and 185. Makes me so happy (both to have

them posted and because it's not just my user-error with the posts). :-D

Thank you _so much_ for the help you give everyone. It's appreciated.
