Guest guest
Hi Andy, If you pick up on this email could you provide clarity please as to the difference between Isocort and Adrenal Cortex. Try as I might I have never been able to get an accurate answer on this from anyone. Isocort has only 5mg of Freeze Dried Adrenal Cortex, and is said to supply 2.5mg of cortisol. Yet this cortisol content seems to be implied rather than explicit. Most other Adrenal Cortex contain much bigger dosages, about 150-200mg of Freeze Dried Adrenal Cortex, yet no mention is made of cortisol content. Do they somehow process the cortisol out? By what mechanism does Adrenal cortex work, is there cortisol in it? My main question is wanting to know if there are any particular differences in Isocort and Adrenal Cortex and indications for using one or the other? Is Isocort still safe for kids? And is there a maximum dosage if Iscort (they say 8 per day) and Adrenal Cortex? Is there any change of weakening the adrenals over time on too high a dose of either, i.e. is there a physiological dose of Adrenal Cortex we should stay below. I see you have noted Nutricology or Thorne Research or Standard Process as good options for Adrenal Cortex. Thanks, DeanSA
